Iguazu Falls, Brazilian Side

I spent three days exploring Iguazu Falls and it’s subtropical rainforest surroundings.  This place can be described as nothing short of magical.  “Magical”  seems to be the only word I can find that comes close to describing my time here.  Each of my three days was an incredibly unique experience.  For this reason, I need to do a separate post about each day here.  I begin on day 1, by exploring the Brazilian side of the falls. Murphey’s Law

Buenos Aires, Argentina

3smI don’t know why I am finding this post difficult to write. I think perhaps it is because I did not have an immediate strong reaction to Buenos Aires. I did not do as much sight-seeing in Buenos Aires as I have along other stops on my journey. It may be because I was tired from my travels, but more so, after days of analyzing, because I felt right at home in this city. Continue reading “Buenos Aires, Argentina”

It felt extremely good to get off the plane and step into warm weather again from El Calafate to Buenos Aires.  But I absolutely MUST share this incredible experience before I run off and explore this new city.  Perito Moreno was a perfect Adios to my Patagnoia explorations.

Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier Tour

3smI have been in Puerto Natales, Chile for Several days now.  I am going to try to do two posts today to catch everyone up on what I’ve done here.  It’s been pretty incredible.  On my first day here, I took a lovely, leisurely boat tour to two glaciers. I met lovely people on the boat, and saw some incredible things.  This post is going to be more images than words.  Continue reading “Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier Tour”

A “Holy Shit” Moment

46smHave you ever had a “holy shit” moment?  Where your heart sinks into your feet and life stops feeling real?  I’ve had a few of them.  They’ve usually been awful moments.  But on Magdalena Island, off of Punta Arenas, Chile, the other day I learned that sometimes those moments can be good moments.
